Eilean Donan Castle, Highland, Scotland, is situated in Loch Duich and is the home of Clan Macrae. It is connected to the mainland by a footbridge and is about half a mile from the village of Dornie, and is a 20th century reconstruction of a 13th century structure which was destroyed in the 18th century.
