Sunset over Lake Ellesmere, Canterbury, New Zealand, on a clear evening. This is just a few minutes from home, and when we first came to live here, we thought we would be able to capture many sunsets over the lake. Not so, this is one of the few occasions when the sun has not been not blocked from view by a large bank of cloud which seems to appear from nowhere as the sun goes down!
